Kaylas Katie is a 2011 mare by Lions Share of Fame out of one of Jane Melbys proven barrel horses Katies Lookin Fine. Jolene purchased her from Jane as an unbroke two year old.  Katie spent a good deal of time on the road traveling with Jolene and was sold as a  well started barrel horse in June 2016.   Deb Sutherland spotted Katie and convinced Piper Borman to try her.  Long story short - Piper and Deb did an amazing job finishing Katie.  At 6 she is consistently running solid run 1D times.

As of September 24 2017 Piper and Katie have ran in the 1D at nearly at large event they enter, winning numerous checks, awards and titles with their most recent major  accomplishment winning the MN NBHA State Championship.  Check out Katie's timeline to see this winning run.
